Critics Choice Awards 2024, trionfa Oppenheimer

Si sono tenuti nella notte italiana i 29° Critics Choice Awards, riconoscimenti assegnati dall’associazione di critici cinematografici e televisivi americani, composta da oltre 400 membri. Barbie si presentava forte del record di 18 candidature, record per la manifestazione, ma come in occasione dei Golden Globe ha visto trionfare nelle categorie principali Oppenheimer di Christopher Nolan.

Otto premi al biopic con Cillian Murphy, che tuttavia questa volta ha dovuto cedere la statuetta di Miglior attore protagonista a Paul Giamatti per The Holdovers, sempre più lanciato quindi verso un possibile Oscar. Nolan ha conquistato quella come Miglior regista, confermando anche qui le sue possibilità per il grande evento. Barbie di Greta Gerwig ha trionfato invece in categorie tecniche e come Miglior canzone e Miglior sceneggiatura originale, sezione nella quale tuttavia non concorrerà agli Oscar perché l’Academy ha deciso di etichettarla come adattata.

Per quanto riguarda le serie quest’anno sembra non esserci storia: Succession e The Bear dominano le rispettive categorie di dramma e commedia, portando a casa la maggior parte dei premi anche relativi agli attori.
