CDG Awards: trionfano Barbie, Povere creature e Saltburn

Il sindacato dei costumisti ha emesso i suoi verdetti, rilanciando la sfida tra il film di Margot Robbie e quello di Emma Stone in vista degli Oscar

Si è tenuta nella notte italiana la 26° edizione dei Costume Designers Guild Awards, i premi per i costumi assegnati dal relativo sindacato di categoria.

A trionfare nelle rispettive categorie (film contemporaneo, storico e sci-fi/fantasy) sono stati Saltburn, Povere creature e Barbie, con questi ultimi due che confermano di essere i favoriti per la statuetta che verrà assegnata durante la 96° notte degli Oscar in programma per il 10 marzo 2024.

Per la televisione, ha trovato gloria il lavoro di Shawna Trpcic per la serie Ahsoka, premio tuttavia assegnato postumo a causa della scomparsa della costume designer. La serata è stata inaugurata da un messaggio di Fran Drescher, presidente del sindacato SAG-AFTRA, che ha offerto il supporto della sua categoria per le imminenti negoziazioni del contratto collettivo che interesserà la CDG.
